Has anyone on this discussion board had recurrent ovarian cancer of the pleura (lung lining)? If so, would you be willing to share your experience and if you've found a treatment that has benefited you.

My wife currently has Stage IV recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer of the right pleura (after begin cancer free for 12 years). She had a pleurodesis and was on first line treatment with cis-platin/taxol, but the disease is platinum resistant. Also, the cisplatin caused kidney failure.

She's now on Doxil and seems to be doing better (viz.chemo  symptoms) but we're just at the beginning of treatment. We know the prognosis for recurrent/metastatic ovarian isn't good, but we understand it can be managed like a chronic disease. Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you.
