Hello everyone,  I recently  had two women friends diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  One friend is 52 years old the other is 35 years old. My 35 year old fiend was told she is in stage 4 of her cancer.  Both are beginning chemo.  What would you recommend I do in these early days to comfort my two friends?  Also, do any of you use Zeolite (homeopathic) as a cancer treatment and have any of you added flax seed to your diet?

With thanks,

Laurieann

Laurieann,

Sorry no one has responded but I guess it's hard to know what to do or say at a time like this.  It's tough having 2 friends with this dreaded disease.

While there doesn't seem to be any cure for this disease now I think they are getting close.  I have read several encouraging articles.  It's just a matter of time.  And, the treatments they know of now do help to prolong life and in some cases for a considerable amount of time.

I was diagnosed with stage IV PC last September.  I got the results of my latest scan today and the doctor was very happy with the results.  Mostly stable with a couple of tumors grown but the one on the pancreas has shrunk.  I played golf last Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and today.  18 holes each time so I'm enjoying a good quality of life and hope to continue for some time to come.

Just let your friends know there is hope and perhaps a cure on the horizen.

I have not used Zeolite or flax seeds.  I would do a lot of study before taking anything not approved by the doctor.  Some of the things being sold for treatment are just snake oil and can be harmful.  I do recommend an antidepressant.  I think Paxil (I take the generic) has helped my attitude and appetite.

Best wishes.
