Polyps

I went back to the doctor this past Monday to go over the details of the colonoscopy I had on the 9th. (Like I said...piece of cake) And after our discussion, I am so glad I had it done. The 2 small polyps were sent off to the lab, and appears they were adenomatous polyps...in other words, they COULD HAVE turned into cancer. So, they are removed, and my doctor has said I don't have to come back for 5 years. Those of you who keep putting the procedure off...don't do it! Have it done. I promise, it doesn't hurt, there are no side effects, the prep is not all that bad, and the sooner you know the sooner you can take care of it if something is found. The day of my procedure, I almost backed out. I almost called and canceled...making up some kind of half baked excuse. I am so glad now that I didn't.
