I am 23. My boyfriend was diagnosed with colon cancer when he was 29 (He is 30 now). It has since spread to his kidney and gallbladder (which were removed) and now to his spine and lung within the last few months. He is on heavy chemotherapy, and now undergoing radiation. We are staying positive, and will never give up. You shouldn't either..no matter what happens.
I understand fully how incredibly hard it is to think that those who we are taking care of have not even begun to live life. I would love to go back to our normal lives, but these are the paths God has given us. For some reason, we are chosen (both your daughter and my boyfriend, and even us) to live through these rough times, and it can only make us stronger. Please don't lose hope in love and life, don't lose hope in that maybe this all means something... that perhaps it will all add up.
I will pray for you and your daughter. You are not alone.
