How high did your TSH go while going hypo?

Just wondering how high everyone's TSH got while going hypo and preparing for RAI?   I just had my blood tested today -- my RAI is next week.   My TSH was 94!!   How am I even still functioning?   Strangey enough, I don't really feel sleepy, but my arms and legs feel like lead weights (my typing speed is slowed down and my arms feel limp) --

I guess I am hypo enough for RAI -- just hope it doesn't take too long to get back to normal afterwards -- so far, the weight has been OK too -- I actually lost 6-7 lbs. on Cytomel, so I have some leeway -- hope I don't pack on 10 in the remaining week -- I have no appetite at all though -- have been making myself eat.

My TSH was near 60 the day before I did RAI. Endo said it was high enough, nuclear guy said he wished it was higher. I think that we all have our own normals though, and while someone may feel terrible at a 6 someone else may feel decent at a 14...

As for adjusting after RAI, it took forever for them to get me on the right dose. He started very low and gave it 6 weeks to adjust. I did feel improvements each time though. If you are allowed to resume your regular stable dose, you should get some relief pretty quickly.

Hi, Mine was 87 about a week before. I had my labs on Friday and expected a call from the doc. I finally called on Wednesday and was told it was 87 so I was good to go. I called the hospital to set up the date since the doc was slacking on this too. Got in for a tracer dose on Thursday, scan on Friday, then the actual RAI meds on Saturday. Thank goodness they came in on Saturday. Don't think I could have waited any longer. I restarted meds on Tues or Wed? after the RAI and it took probably a week to feel noticeably better, not great but not terrible. Take care, it does get better!

My husband's TSH is at 100!  He was told that is extremely elevated and they only need it to be a 20 to do RAI.  4 is supposedly normal so that is just crazy. I'm surprised he can still get up and function. He's been a real trooper through this. He's in quarantine right now.

My TSH both times I was hypo was 135!!

My endo told me there have been people that slipped into a coma at 140!

I guess I'm one of those people whose TSH shoots up rapidly.
