Hello- I just had a colposcopy after a pap came back LGSIL. They took a sample and sent it to the lab- Got the call today that it is HGSIL and I need another colposcopy and a Leep this time. I have two question- what are the chances that it is more than HGSIL, can they miss cervival cancer if it is in the canal? and...will I bleed a lot? I'm on blood thinners and I'm thinking they will tell me to stop a few days before the procedure. Any info will be appreciated- Thanks.
Before your procedure you should probably stop taking the blood thinners a week before hand, but definately consult your doctor on that one. It could be more than HSIL but, it seems like they have caught it before it has turned into cancer.
