My father is about to begin a chemo routine called G-Flip. Is there anyone who can fill me in on the side effects, etc. that we can expect from this form of treatment? Did anyone do this approach on an outpatient basis or is it always necessary to have a two day hospital stay for each round( bi-monthly)?

I'm sorry that you have to deal with PC.

I'm a patient, 20 months.  I have never heard of G-Flip and I suspect that that is why you have not had a response.  Can you be more specific as to what drugs are involved?

I'm sure that you will find this board helpful in the future.  I have a web page that is all-positive all-the-time.  www.markbirch.org

God Bless,

MarkB.

My dad was on gflip for a year.  He did very well on it until now.  They are switching it up and adding a new drug taxotere.  .  He did it as an out patient.  He was actually traveling from NY to FL every two weeks. . Treatments in NY and living in Fl.  He did however, get an iv bag the first night to take home.  Its a long day usually 4.5 - 5 hours.  He has never had a break from it. I was wondering if your doctor was going to do it continually or was going to do it for a few months and stop and give it a break....He did not loose his hair and they used to compliment him, and that he did not look SICK.  Good luck to you....God Bless.

Bridget
