Back to the doc I go

So I had surgery on june 10th for VIN3 and I'm healing well from the partial vulvectomy. Sutures all gone, healing wonderful and hardly any visable scaring. Well low and behold now I have started with some symptoms yet again and I'm nervous as all get out. I've been itching like crazy on the opposite side that the surgery was on. I found a reddened area that is darker on the outer parameter then the center and is about the size of a dime but a bit smaller. Also I'm extremely sore just above my urethra. It almost feels as if my clothing is rubbing and making me tender but it's all the time. I called the doc and he wants to see me on monday the 20th of july. could this possibly happening already? It don't make sense. I'm not sure if the symptoms could be the vin again or just something different. It's so frustrating and worrying. I wasn't supposed to go back for my final visit until august 5th but I couldnt stand not knowing......... Please pray that it's nothing........ I'm freakin out again.......

I guess youcan disregard all the worrying I wrote in the initial message. I went to the doc today and he says he don't see anything that is suspicious. All is healing well and he doesn't believe that the VIN is back. He figures it's just an irritation, and that the area I noticed is just scar tissue from prior surgery. Thank god that is all it is. Now I officially return to my regular GYN and do 3 month visits from here on out to be sure all is going ok....... It deffinatly messes with your mind and I doubt I'll ever be 100% worry free. This stuff haunts you forever I think.............. I'll be checking in from time to time. Thanks for everyones support.

I found out back in May after my biopsy that I have VIN 1. My doctor was vague in explaining it and said that we would just have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't go into the next stage. I'm afraid. I just found this website tonight when I was researching and thought I'd sign up. How long did it take for you to get VIN 3? How long did the surgery take? I wish the best for your health. Have a great week. :)

So sorry it took me so long to reply to this message and I hope you get it. Unfortunatly for me I had what i thought was a cyst and let it go for atleast a year. When the doc biopsied it it came back VIN 3. I was in for surgery within a few weeks. The recovery is a touch and go type. SOme people say it's not to bad but others will have a lot of pain. My surgery was a Partial Vulvectomy. It was very sore for quite some time. I still get tender at times. Now I go back to see my doc every three months. I keep a close eye on it all and worry that it may come back. I have itching at times and I swer there is another area but the doc says it's all clear.    I'm suprised the doc wouldnt want to do a simple laser removal of the vin 1 on you. I would question why he would want to wait.    Keep us posted and I"ll check back in here to se ehow your doin..... Ever wanna talk just let me know and i'll give you my email addy... Best of luck to you.
