Hello,

Glad to hear your follow-up test was okay. I am 37 years old and have had a few cone biopsies, LEEP procedures and even a partial vaginectomy (sounds awful but really wasn't too bad). These procedures were all due to cervical problems caused by HPV. Every time (and I mean every single time) I went to the doctor I needed another surgery (I had early cervical cancer and later, micro-invasive vaginal cancer).

After the partial vaginectomy (November 2004) I went back to the oncologist and she told me I would need another surgery. The oncologist recommended laser surgery and we spoke about considering a hysterectomy. The oncologist told me to come back after the new year and we would schedule my surgery. The idea of having a hysterectomy was less than thrilling, so I did some research on-line and came up with BioResponse DIM (absorbable diindolylmethane).

DIM has shown to really be effective in reducing the symptoms HPV. Before going to see my oncologist again I began taking the DIM (300mg/day) for about a month. I went back to the doctor late January 2005 to have a check up and schedule surgery. The doctor examined me under the colposcope, it seemed to take forever and the doctor was unusually quite during the exam -- I began to worry that my condition was worse than expected. The doctor finally said "you look just fine" -- I was like "are we scheduling a surgery?" -- the doctor said no surgery necessary. From talking about hysterectomy to no problem at all -- my head was spinning. I guess my quick and complete recovery could be just a coincidence. We scheduled another exam for June (2005). Again the exam showed I was fine (NOTE: This is very unusual -- I always get biopsies taken and some type of procedure is recommended -- since I was in my mid twenties I have been having various procedures related to abnormal cells, pre-cancer, cancer, etc.)

I continued to take the DIM and went for my exam in June 2005 -- again the results were normal (I am really a happy camper this time!). I decide it must be the DIM and mentioned it to the doctor -- she had never heard of it and just kinda shrugged and dismissed it. I decided I would continue to take it. Another exam was scheduled for December 2005.

Just went to the oncologist a few weeks ago and the exam was normal, no surgery necessary.

I don't know if BioResponse DIM will help you. I just wanted to tell you my story just in case it might help you or someone else that reads it.

I have dropped my dosage to 200mg (did this after my June 2005 exam came back normal). I have taken 2 different brands of DIM over this time period with the same results.

Wishing you good health,
Donna
Subject: What Precautions Should i Take?

I had lot of tension in the last house I lived during the year 2003 July owing to my boyfriend.I did not get my periods for some time between May-july 2003(it happened for the first time).I started to get hot flashes in april 2003. After july i had regular periods.
Then in Jan 2004 I had very heavy period. I thought it could be menopause signs and had iron tablets. In Aug 2004 I had rough sex and it started bleeding. Then it stopped. From sept- dec 2004 when ever I had sex in sitting position I had little bit of bleeding.
I went to see my GP (Local DR) and explained to him the situation he checked my womb and said nothing wrong.
I started to see a gyne private and said I like to try for a baby he asked my period details and and to have regular periods he put me on a tablet.
I also explained to him that I have bleeding when I have sex during the sitting position.

I went for a coposcopy test in the local hospital in dec 2004 the results said I have some abnormal cells.
The private Dr did a similar test april 2005 and said the same. Again he advised me he wanted to take a photo of the womb and cut a small piece of the cervix to test. This took place in July 2005.

According to the test womb was normal.some cells in the cervix does not look ok.Gyne said go for hyster.

I am very puzzled about what he is saying.
Also he threten me I will die if I wont do the operation.

I want to understand everything before I go for a hyster.
can you suggest something please?.
I look forward to hear from you.

It is bothering me alot and I am 54years old.
very active and healthy eating and working.

Regarding my sex partner the sperms are quite itichy.
His wife has breast cancer and does not take any
medicine.
I know him for nearly 20 years I feel the itichyness the last two years.
Would this cause me any abnormality?.

Should I go for hysteractomy?

Hello,

I would certainly get a second opinion. I would go to another doctor right away and get a second opinion and then take it from there.

Wishing you good health.
