Matastic Prostate Cancer-What Kinds Of Foods???

My husband has been diagnosed with Matastic Prostate Cancer, his PS is 25, he is currently taking casodeax and begins Lupron injections on the 4th of Jan, he has lost 45 lbs so far and for the past 4 days has not eaten anything, although he does drink one can of "ensure" daily. I have been trying to find foods that are easy for him to digest, easy on his stomache ,and that won't constipate him, any ideas, it's tearing me apart seeing him loose so much weight, Please help, thank you so very much

My husband is 56 and has a very rare and extreamly aggressive form of prostate cancer (not the slow growing, easily treated kind that they talk about on TV). We went to Johns Hopkins last week because the chemo the Drs were giving my husband was not working - his PSA went up to 25 after the 3rd round (it was 45 Dec 2004 with a gleson score of 10,PSA had dropped to 3 in April 2005 after radiation). At Hopkins we were told that casodex is effective initially with his type of cancer, but that the cancer changes to accomodate the drug and the drug then helps the cancer to grow (Dr said it was just like throwing gasoline on an open fire). Check with your Dr about this. The constipation and stomach upset may be due to the pain medication. My husband deals with the constipation by using glycerine suppositories. He was taking a stool softner, but after a while it just made it worse and the Dr told him to stop using it. That affect with long term use of stool softners is not uncommon . He uses liquid Malox for the stomach upset. Will your husband take the ensure 3 times a day - just like a meal? It's only within the last 3 weeks that I've seen my husbands appatite decrease and he's losing weight faster than I like.I keep things in the house that he likes to eat (regardless of weather they are good or bad for him - I just want him to eat)and he snacks whenever the urge strikes (like icecream at 3am).
FYI - Lupron injections cause men to have the same symptoms that women have during menopause - heat flashes and night sweats.
