Oncology Doctor Upset

I finally saw my Oncology Doctor yesterday with all my CT results for the last eight months and he stated," that the VA should have taken the CD's that I offered for comparisons". The CT taken at the VA in Massachusetts on Tuesday had no changes and what I went through all weekend worring that I had reoccurance should not have happened. I have contacted my VA primary care Doctor to report the problem dealing with a supervisor of the CT dept, so nobody else will ever have to deal with this type of problem. I was glad to hear I am NED again, and now my CT"s have been moved to every six months for the next two years. We all go through so much just dealing with this beast daily without any undue stress from unreliable sources. I hope everyone with upcoming test are NED for I know several members have them soon. Take Care. Phil A.

Sorry you worried over stable results for days. These people have no idea what it is like to walk in the shoes of a cancer survivor. Glad to hear they were good after all. Congratulations once again. Now you get six worry free months...enjoy!

Thanks Phil.  It's been a couple of years since we had a vacation so I booked us on a 5-day cruise to Bermuda.  We'll be leaving NJ on 8/1 and spending a few days in Bermuda.   I've been to Bermuda years ago but Joe has never been and neither of us has ever been on a cruise.

MariaL I hope the two of you have a great cruise and time to relax after what the two of you have and what you are going through. We will be looking for a place to spend this coming winter in the west coast of Florida away from the cold and snow of Massachusetts. I cannot take the cold anymore since this surgery and the weight loss of fifty pounds. My goal is to lend up in Florida permanetly down the road if everthing works out well. We were planning a cruise just prior to the beast striking to the islands for a ten day trip. We all need to take a trip after what all of us have gone through survivors and caregivers, for without caregivers some of us would not have made it both physically and mentally. Please enjoy you cruise and forget everything. Take Care, God Bless.  Phil A.
