Hi everyone,
Before I was diagnosed with MM and had any treatments, I was pretty good at solving Sudoku puzzles. During my treatments, my puzzle solving got nearly impossible over time. My husband started making copies of the puzzle page in the USA Today paper. It included a word roundup, QuikCross (a 4 x 4 version of a crossword), up & down words, a 1-6 Sudoku, a regular Sudoku and a quote at the bottom of the page to fill in.
The difficulty I had in the beginning was unbelievable to me. I knew I was smarter but couldn’t get it. My husband helped, not be giving me the answers but by giving as many clues he could think of to make me use my brain and think of the answers. IT WORKED!! The difference was outstanding.
You can play them on line at: http://www.usatoday.com/
Click on games and take your choice. You might be able to print the games. Or just buy the newspaper the next time you’re out and try it. They also have books of games.
It may sound silly but these puzzles make you think and use your brain. Don’t let the chemo brain take over!
Good luck.
Lois
