34 year with SMM

Hi everyone.

 I have just been told that I have SMM after some routine blood tests which led to xrays and bone marrow biopsy. I am only 34 so know that it is quite unusual and I just can't find out information about what I can do to make things better without reading scary stories...I so want to stay positive, but with 2 children under 5 am really scared.

Does anyone know of anyway I can get in touch with people in a similar situation/ find out information about nutrition/lifestyle etc without looking at all of the websites. I don't want to panic about the unknown when I have a 2in 3 chance of it not affecting me. There'll be time to do that then if necessary.

A very scared mum.

From Anna,

Hi Deb, Can't answer your question.  Just wanted to say welcome.  Dad's MM was full blown when they said he had MM.

Your friend,

Anna

Good Evening Deb;

I just can't find out information about what I can do to make things better without reading scary stories...I so want to stay positive.

Read the archives here. There a treasure chest of information.

But with 2 children under 5 I am really scared.

They don't want, or need, to see that in your eyes. They want to see a mommy whose strong, determined and willing to fight this curse to the end!

Does anyone know of anyway I can get in touch with people in a similar situation/ find out information about nutrition/lifestyle etc without looking at all of the websites.

You already have!

I don't want to panic about the unknown when I have a 2 in 3 chance of it not affecting me.

I believe the number is closer to 9 in 10!

Welcome! I'm certain you have other places you'd rather be but if you peruse the archives you might find that there's no better place for you to be.

Take care;

Kevin
