Hi from Wellington NZ

My daughter was diagnosed with colon cancer stage lV, mets to liver and lungs in mid May. She had an operation to remove the colon cancer a week later. Since then she has changed her diet, done daily affirmation, increased her positive outlook, laughed a lot, (not a lot to laugh about a lot of the time), has had only 2 chemo sessions and prayed heaps. We are very supportive as a family and as a community. Well, she has just phoned me from the chemo ward where she has gone for her 3rd chemo and told me her tumors are shrinking, her CEA is down and her white cells are normal!!!  She has had a couple of minor reactions to the chemo, her temp went up and she caught a cold, and last time she developed a clot for which she needs to inject herself daily with a blood thinning agent until December, but that's it. No nausea, no diarherra, no hair loss (yet) and she is feeling and looking good. I am truely amazed by this young woman and I am so proud of her, her attitude and her strength. Go Deborah my darling girl!!!!

Thank you Lord, you never fail me.

I never forget any on this website, so many of you have helped me in my darkest hour, I cannot thank you enough for your words of encouragement and support. I pray for all here at my daily Mass. God Bless you all.

Hello there,

May God be with your daughter, with you and with all "survivors" on this message board. This is once again proof that cancer patients are not statistics.  I will pray for you and your daughter down under in Wellington NZ and for all those on this board.

Christine,

What great news! I'm a firm believer in daily affirmations. I was diagnosed with stage IV CRC w/liver mets in 2005 -- and I'm still here and kicking.

While I know that the chemo did all of the heavy lifting when it came to fighting my cancer, I feel the affirmations were a powerful potentiator. To this day, I do my affirmations every day and plan on doing them for as long as I'm around (which I'm planning to be awhile.)

And your daughter's tolerance of the chemo is a very positive sign that it's working effectively!

All the best -- and here's to continued YIPPEEs!, Brian

Brian, your message was such a day brightener. Exactly same diagnosis in June. I'm 3/4 through with my first round of chemo. If it does it's job, I'm headed to pittsburgh to have rt. lobe of my liver removed. I am also doing affirmation every night because I believe in the law of intention. I cannot entertain even one negative thought about my diagnosis, treatment or condition. I'd appreciate any other tips you might have for me. I am a "tough old bird" as my surgeon says and I am determined to win the battle. I, too, am tolerating the chemo very well. In fact my blood levels actually improved between treatments 2 and 3. I'm 67 and live in the great state of Wyoming. Rode my horse for the first time since diagnosis on Tues. and I'm looking forward to riding a lot more in the future. Thank again for your encouragement!!!!

What great news, thanks for sharing.  I love the book Cancer and the Lord's Prayer, has been a great help to me.  It is so important that we share success stories as so many are searching for this.
