question about blood work

My mom had her needle biopsy this morning without complications, so waiting on the results for that.  My question is about blood work, her blood counts have all come back basically normal but with a few irregularities/  Lymph was3.6 and mono 1.1, apparently not too high but elevated.  Does a normal blood count imply that cancer is less likely, or does it matter at all?  Thanks for any information.

I don't know that it means anything about the cancer. BUT, when taking treatment it is very important. It will determine if treatments continue, if you need to protect yourself from infection, etc. Most treatments are VERY hard on your bone marrow and blood counts. My husband has blood work every Dr. visit, and it is the determining factor for receiving treatment.
