Help-Healing Time

Hi all,

I just completed the six weeks of chemo and six weeks of radiation. YEA!

Surgery will be next. My question is what can I do to help speed up the healing?  So sore. Cramping, loose stoole (better than constipation) gas, bloating, Lots of pain in entire area. Urine seens to flow sideways, not to much discomfort there but the itching. Urinate frequently. (why?) Most of the pain is in all the rest of my bottom.  Seem to have a malformed rectum with sharp raggid areas. Hard to sit. I use the supositories, anti itch perscription  and silver stuff, with little relief. Also switch off to aquaphor.

Any suggestions? How long is the healing process.

Also I have developed three blisters on my left fore arm ??(burns)???????????

Thanks for your thoughts.

Hello,

Well done in finishing your chemo/radation, The healing process does take a short time but your body is an amazing healer, so hang in there and remember if you need any information always ask your Dr and Nurses, If I was you I would call them and explain situation and they are I am sure willing to help. Please do not let painful situations get out of control act now and call your cancer center.

The Main thing to remember this will pass and you will get stronger, stay positive.

                         Best Wishes
