Hi,
I've read about women who succeeded to conceive and to give birth to a healthy child after this kind of surgery, but I'd really like to be able to contact those women. In the forums I found on the net I could only find women who conceived after a vaginal radical trachelectomy and I was wondering if the chances to conceive after a vaginal radical trachelectomy are the same as after an abdominal radical trachelectomy. Have you got any info from your doctor about the chances to conceive?
We also tryed naturally for half a year and about 2 weeks a go I had my first IUI, but, unfortunately, it didn't succeed. In about 2 weeks I should have my second IUI and I hope it'll work this time. I really don't know how the surgery influenced my body and I wonder if there is a problem, or maybe it just takes a bit longer. After all, even women who didn't go through this surgery and have no hormonal problems, sometimes have to try 1 year before they conceive. By the way, we're about the same age. I'm 33.5 year old.
Be prepared that before starting fertility treatments, you'll have some hormonal tests and in case you are married your husband will have
a sperm test.
If you find any new info reagarding the outcomes of this kind of surgery, I'd be glad if you could share it with me.
I'll keep you posted if there are any news.
Good luck!
