Hi All,

Just read your postings and felt hopeful. My partner has just been diagnosed with Smoldering Myeloma - aged 52 and also with Rhumatoiod Arthritis - a dkouble whammy!!

 Does anyone have any advice on changing our diets and what are the best foods to eat to help us along?  Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

 Many thanks

Hello,

I was told this is a genetic defect but have learned since that cancer thrives on sugar so it might be worth a try to eliminate sugar from your partner's diet and see if it makes a difference... Other than that I have no clue, a healthy diet would make sense... Take care..Gayle

Cancer cells use sugar for energy, but so does every other healthy cell in your body. Please check out the www.caringforcancer.com website's nutrition section for more info and ask to talk with a Registered Dietitian.

Good Evening Margaret;

A double whammy!!

Yes it is. Keep in mind, God gives the heaviest crosses to those with the strongest backs!

Does anyone have any advice on changing our diets and what are the best foods to eat to help us along?

I recently posted the 24 Best Foods to Eat approx. 3-4 weeks ago. But, as already mentioned, reduce your sugar intake, Get your pH level more nuetral,; 7.325, Don't eat in front of the tube, computer or readinng the paper. Enjoy your meal, every bite! And after your meal, get up and do something. Take a walk, ride a bike or some other form of movement.

Take care;

Kevin
