I'd be curious if it's the actual brain cancer plus meds & where it's located or the cyber knife.

I'm curious if others that have radiation have the same symptoms - you might get better answers posting directly in thge brain cancer section.

I've read of people having cyber knife for other cancers & they have no problems.

I had the cyber knife on Sept 7th 2010.

I did not have any side effects. I am now having constant electrical charges in my head. I call them "Zingers", is this something I should expect? Will they go away? I am not on medication, I had a beign menigoma removed, this was my second...but the first time with the cyber knife.

My sleeping habits are also bad, I fall asleep with the TV on and wake 2 hours later and can't get back to sleep.

Help!

hi ,

my mum has had operations trying to remove a menignom in her head, which always comes  back. now her doctor recommended her to see a specialist to maybe get cyber knife. I have read your message, and i hope you feel better!! I am worried about my mum, and it would be great if you could get back to me to let me know if your treatment was (hopefully!) a sucess.

thank you so much

p.s.

if anybody else has anything positive to say, id like to hear that

I have metastiized (from colon) to brain and had cyberknife in December of 2011 (three treatments).  I was tired and miserable until I had acupuncture which changed everything.  The decadron has miserable side effects and I've attempted to wean off of it several times but I have had challenges with that.  I'm looking for a natural formula that will reduce swelling in the brain. I've been using DMSO with some success.  I was told there is a homeopathic formula from Inda that does work but don't have the infomation yet.

I have two more tumors that have appeared since the cyberknife and don't want to do any more radiation for all the reasons already stated.  I have been following an all alternnative program (see Cancertutor.com )  also, Bill Henderson, CANCER FREE (book) for more information.  There are many alternatives that work much more effectively than radiation, surgery and chemo.

All best to everyone.  I personally know how difficult this is, Glynn

I'm home now after 5 treatments of cyber knife. I have a choroid plexus pappiloma gr 2benign. The steroid Demaxthasone stopped the nausea but now I do not sleep well and feel like i am trapped in my body and cant get out. I am constantly eating even though i need to not eat causing weight gain. Just feeling weirdish. It has been about a week and no hair loss as of yet.

Hi robmac,

I'm very surprised you are having side effects with CyberKnife.

I don't believe you will have any hair loss. It sounds like you are very stressed...that may cause some hair loss.

Stay cool,

Leonard form Alamo, California
