Hi Kimberly,

I know this is a very difficult time for you.  Waiting to find out the results of my biopsy was the hardest part of the whole ordeal.  I knew very little about the current breast cancer treatments.  If I had, I would not have been as terrified.  If your sister had cancer, they must have been checking you closely so if you do have cancer it is probably early.  Mine was found early and I had a lumpectomy and radiation only.  No fun but not horrible either.  If a person needs chemo, the treatments are not what they were in the past and from what I've been told, even those with heart conditions can get through them.  However, don't get ahead of yourself.  You haven't been diagnosed yet.  Tell yourself that you will be fine no matter whether it is or isn't cancer.  Enjoy each day.  You'll be fine and we'll be here for you if you need support.

I think Kimberly said it all in her response.  It was beautifully written.  Rest assured that this site has a huge group of supporters whenever you need them.  Best of luck with your biopsy -- you will be receiving many prayers on your behalf from this site!

Kimberly,

I am sorry to hear you are going through this, it is difficult.  I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, had a mastectomy, and had 8 positive lymph nodes.  When the scans and tests were done after the surgery I found out it has also spread to my bones.  Keep in mind that there are many treatments, and hopefully you will have good news from your biopsy.

What treatment are you receiving for your cancer at this point? I was originally diagnosed in 2003 and had ACT. Rediagnosed in 2008 with it in the lungs, bones, and now suspicious spots on the liver. Have had a couple of hormone drugs that didn't keep the cancer in check. Had Taxotere and Taxol, that my body must have built up an ammunity to from having received one of them in 2003. Had an oral drug, but have now switched to Ixempra (?I think this is the spelling). Just interested in knowing what others are receiving, how you are responding to it.

Blessings to you and your family and friends on this journey. Lisa
