A dear friend has cervical cancer, It's at stage 1VB. It has spade thur out her body, nothing they can do. They have inserted a radiation rod, and chemo once a week. We as friends don't know what to do for her. I visit and try to cheer her up. most people don't want to go around her because of the rod. They told her not to be around anyone of child bearing age or any young person who would want a baby later in life. That means no visits from her son and grandkids. Or going shopping or to church. It's taking a tole on her, She may never hold her family again. Some of us is wondering if they can't help her why put her thur this. I wouldn't dare say anything to her, she has enough to deal with. Dose anyone know about the rod and what it can do? I hate to see her spend her last days shut in the house.
I"m at the one year mark after oral cancer surgery. Radiation and chemo ended in Nov. The last cat scan showed no cancer. I got kidey ACKD, and a bad rash, dry mouth, had feeding tube and a few other things from it, so I know how hard it was, I Know she has a long road ahead.
