Hi... my hubby has been having seizure-like tremors at night when he sleeps. he shakes, and his eyes twitch, sometimes even opening for a split second but he sleeps thru it all. He has no idea its happening. He was diagnosed 20 mo ago with stage IV stomach cancer adn takes several medications for pain and side effects. Could it be the oxycontin?? Just curious if anyone or their loved ones have experienced this and if I should be concerned or not.  (PS: this started about 6 mo ago but they seem to be getting worse.) Thanks for any help!

I was diagnosed in Mar 08 with gastric cancer and I've had these seizures from time to time.. I do believe it could be the pain meds.. When I was in the hospital they were giving me dialaudid (sp)  for pain and phenergen for nausea and I was having crazy seizures...  Now that I'm home, I still have them, but not as bad as when I was in the hospital..  I would discuss this with your oncologist.. maybe he can prescribe a different pain med if he/she thinks it could be the pain meds...  Anyway, you will be in my prayers..  God Bless and Livestrong!!!!!!!!
