Good Day;

I have an appointment with VA  Aug 26th.  I feel good and rather active for having an 80th next month.  If anyone has had a similar situation and some sound advice I'm ready for whatever awaits me.  My wife of 58 years and 4 children are my present cheering squad.

Thanks everyone for accepting me as a new member and messenger on Cancer Compass.  God Bless you all, Larry

Larry,

The best advice I can give is if you are fanancially able, stay away from the VA and get a good Prostate oncologist.

hi buddyL I see what you mean it doubling ever few months but I think you should find the cause what Im saying is you got to address the cause as I seen patient psa go up have treatment there psa gos down A few years later it gos up again. they then have more treatment if there PSA start to rise again you doctor may will say one day we are out of opions my naterpath belives in starving cancer on a low carb diet. Canser loves carbs if you have any sugar it is turned in to carbs also Vitamin C 'can realy slow cancer growth.

A study published in Cancer Prevention Research and reported in

USA Today indicates that reducing carbohydrate intake may slow the growth of prostate tumors. This research follows other studies showing lower carb intake could slow tumor growth.

According to Dr. Phil Maffetone, these studies simply reaffirm what has been known for some time.

“Not only do animal studies show this, but physiology and biochemistry has told us this is the case with all cancers,” Dr. Maffetone says. “The reason is that carbs — especially refined-flour products and sugars — promote cancer-causing chemicals to be produced throughout the body.”
