Could anyone let me know what are specifically nutritional tips in colon cancer? What should a colon cancer patient eat and what should not?
Any help or personal experiences will be appreciated! Thanks so much and Regards.

We have a friend that had colon cancer and he went on a strict diet and drank lots of carrot/spinach juice. He would juice the carrot and spinach and then drink it. I believe he drank about 50 to 70 ounces per day.

I would recommend to read Dr. Moss report.
Use daily consumption of:
70% vegetables and fruits.
10% animal proteins.
10% grains and cereals
10% diary products.
Do not eat: white flour, white sugar and white rice.
This is helped me to recover from colon cancer stage 3 last year and I feel great now.
Good luck,

Hi Alicia, I have recently (Aug 2005) had an op. for colon cancer, and have done a lot of research since getting out of hospital. You'll find the fruits of this research on a non-commercial, no-hype website: http://www.self-helpcancer.info. There are details of the diet I have adopted, and the research behind it (all in layman's terms). I hope this helps. I have bags of energy on this diet, tho' get zapped fortnightly by the chemo. Ask me in a few years time whether it works in my case! Turmeric (curcumin) is one of the useful things for colon cancer.

Why not just switch over to a raw food diet. It's hard, trust me I know. We all know that fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and seeds are the healthiest of the foods we eat. Why not only eat them? There are plenty of ways to satisfy your "cooked food" cravings with exotic, wild foods.

My brother has just been diagnosed with colon cancer. One Week ago, he has undergone surgery for the removal of the tumor growing inside his transversal colon. I want to know what kind of good diet i need to give him for him to get back enough strength in order for him to cope up with the rigors of the recommended monthly chemotherapy treatment he has to undergo.  Thanks so much for any valuable information you could give me.
