scared and frightened.

Hello,

first off I want to tell everyone on this site I am sorry for all your struggles and losses. I am here because I'm not sure what is happening, but it doesn't "feel" right. about 8 months ago I got severe pain in my stomach and I have had nausea every day since. I also have lower back pain(which I already had from previous back surgery) but it seems worse lately.

I just turned 40 and I have a 4 year old girl and a 3 year old boy, and I can't imagine not being here for them. I already had an ultrasound, an endoscopy and gallbladder testing but to no avail. I am not giving up however, I went to my doctor immediatley when this started and I am back every few months for more tests. My next appointment is Aug 21st. I believe a colonoscopy is next. I had one scheduled earlier, but I couldn't get the laxitives that you take the night before down without vomiting, so we need to try something else. One reason I'm very scared is my mom's mom died very young of stomach cancer, she was only in her fifties, and I'm not ready to leave my kids, I WON'T leave my kids alone so early, they have a dad and grandma and lots of aunts and uncles that love them, but they need their mommy, so I will not stop questioning until I get a concrete answer. Please send up some prayers for me and my little ones that this is nothing more than acid reflux or something equally inane.

Once again, I wish all the rest of you the best and I will pray for all here, patients and their families alike.

Love and Hope,

Margaret

Margaret-

Go get a second opinion if you haven't already...   sounds like you are doing the right thing but with your grandmother dying of stomach cancer that may put you at a higher risk so keep on top of it and demand every test possible.

What is the latest? I see you posted this in August.

Tracy
