I had a cancer tumor removed in Nov 2008 from my left lung. It was
Melanoma and Pet scan showed it was the only cancer in my body.
Is this a rare thing for Melanoma in be in my lung?

I'd be interested in someone replying to this as well.

My father recently had pneomina, they took xrays and he is on his way to a pet scan tomorrow.  They sure seem to be slow in getting him in to testing...he had his xray back at the end of July, went for Cat scan, then they still couldn't decide if infection or what... so its on to the pet scan to look at the nodules in his lungs and a spot on his liver.  He has had skin cancer and removals from his forehead over the last year....

They can't test his nodules because they aren't in an area where the bronchial test would be able to reach.

Sorry to thread jack, but interested in your original question.

Thanks!

Tracey
