What did the drs tell you about your treatment?  I am 51 yrs old and found out I had cervical cancer in 2006 and I am still alive and kicking. I had a radical hysterectomy, chemo and radiation for 6 weeks.  It came back last august.  They found a tumor near my rectum.  They removed the tumor and then found out I had two more tumors.  I just finished 4 months of chemo.  I am in remission.

I am 46 years old and have finished all my treatment of cervical cancer. All in the same year, 2008, my husband left me after 21 years of marriage, met a fantastic man and got married this year. In 2008 I started bleeding abnormally and Dr. said that I needed a hysterectomy. While he was operating he found cancer in stage 3B. I had 7 weeks of radiation every day and 5 weeks chemo which ended in Dec 2008. I feel great today and feel I was given a second chance in both health and support thru family and freinds. I always tried to deep positive in my thoughts and that really got me thru all my treatments especially the chemo. Talk to your family and friends about what your feeling and even a support group close to you. It really helps. I am back to work full time and doing good. Remember...positive thoughts.

What do your drs say  They told me mine was not cureable but it is treatable.. so this is just something I have to live with for the rest of my life.. I pray that it doesn't spread to any areas that aren't treatable but so far so good.. the chemo is killing all the cancer cells and you have to think that way too.  I was the same way when I first found out... that I was going to die.  And you never expect it to come back.. .that was a shocker..  So listen to your drs... make sure you always get 2nd opinions especially when it comes to surgery.  I hope you have some really good drs.  What stage did they tell you your cancer was?
