With my husband and I both cancer patients, me in remission, him on chemo for stage 4 colon, I know full well what this distress is. Fortunately, here in the UK, I have been provided through the NHS, with some support through Macmillan.

You said that you have psycholgical distress. Idon't know how long you have cancer. I have had it for three years as of 1Nov.2006. Three days before our 44th Anniversary. I was given one year to live. I told the Dr.what he could do with the 1 year to live. The last two c-scanit has got smaller. I have a saying { I might have cancer but it doesn't have me}' Don't get me wrong about it I thing about it but I am  not  going to think about it 24-7 to where it gets so bad it kills me.It will if you let it take over your mind and body. Think about all of the good times you and your husband still had. Think about all the good times you two can STILL have together. And they will take you through the bad times. We are heading for our 47th and We are making plans for our 50th Anniversary.

Take Care and God Bless you and yours.
