Hi everyone,

It has been awhile since I have been on board as we have had two deaths in our family during the past two weeks and have been away. I appreciate the response you have given me concerning Stev's leg cramps, Gayle asked what kind of chemo he is on. He is on Revlimid. And she asked if this could be neuropathy. No, this is occuring in addition to the neuropathy he has suffered from for the last  4 years. With the neuropathy and now these painful cramps his life is just miserable.  I appreciaate the web sites recommonded and have logged on these and did get some good unformation to pass on to him. His WBC is between 2 and 3 and his other numbers are low also. Thanks again for your help.

I am on Rev and I have neuropothy and leg and feet cramps. I find the more I drink the better off I am as far as the cramps. Also, I have a bean bag wrap that I put in the microwave for 2 minutes and then I wrap it around my leg cramp or foot and it relieves the knot. Best of luck.

Hi

I haven't been on this message board for a long time.  I'm back on Revlimid and Prednisone after having a stem cell transplant in April.  I have been having so much nueropathy and leg, hip and back pain that I don't get to sleep.  What are you drinking that seems to help.  I was just put on Lyrica to see if it gives me relief but my doctors don't seem to be able to tell me why I have so much leg pain and occasional cramps.

Any info you can give about getting relief would be a blessing.

thanks.lebelle12

Drink anything that you can tolerate and make sure you mix it up so you don't get tired of one thing. I switch from gatorade, light cranberry juice, apricot juice mixed with 1/4 water, half oj low sugar and half light cranberry juice, green tea, low sugar lemonade and water, water, water. Make sure you try the heat wrap. Put it between your legs and you will drift off to sleep. Good luck

Blessings, djwin

What a good Idea, i have a rice bag that would work also.  I was up for hours last night trying to get comfortable.Just short of going to the nearest vet clinic and hoping for amputation.  My doc says it will get better and I am hope he is right.

I have been on Rev and Dex since dec 06 the leg cramps are bad but i do try and keep hydrated and that helps and also the heat works well and I take L- Glutamine and that works great if I don't take it the cramps are back.

Hi Irene,

I've had leg cramps for years from the post-polio problems, but they have gotten worse with the MM -- mostly at night after I lie down.   I am on Rev/dex.

The best thing I've found is to sit in a tub of hot water for about 10 to 15  minutes -- about an hour before I go to bed.   It doesn't always work,  but does most nights.
