last round of chemo, does anyone know when they will do pet scan??

hello,  gordies chemo the 5fu stops on friday, does anyone know how soon they will schedule his pet scan,  gordie does not want to know right away so he won't allow me to ask the doctor. because he wants a break, and does not want to know the results, but if a quick scan is essential. incase its positive i would like to talk him into getting it done quick. thanks beth

They told my mother that at PET scan would be done after her last treatment. It should take place within the week following the last treatment. The sooner the better so they are able to treat him if needed. 

 How many rounds of chemo did he receive? My mother is on her fouth treatment.
