in march of this year i had a power port placed in my chest for chemo treatments.  my chemo was completed on august 7 2009.  i still have the port.  yesterday my neck started to hurt me.  it was hard for me to turn it.  now the port area is aching.  its not unbearable but it is annoying.  what could be causing this?  i have not had the port accessed since august 7.

You should call your oncologist and let them know about the increased pain/reduction in mobility.  My guess is that they will want to see you to evaluate what's going on.

Sincerely,

Tre

sometimes a power port will flip over causing pain inthe neck, mine irritated my skin from the inside out and eventually had to be removed.
