Hi,

My mom is 80 years old and she was diagnosed with CLL more than two years back. She is being treated with Leukron (Chlorambucil) since last october (2008). She has gone for 7 cycles now. Her total blood count which was 255,000 before starting the treatment now stands at 30,500. There are some lymph nodes also. Doctor is suggesting to change the drug as Leukron is not helping any more. He is suggesting to go for another drug called Bendamustine now. Could some one please tell me if anyone has been given this drug and what has been results.

As my mom is 80 years old, is it advisable to go for this treatment?

Thanks
