My son is currently on Sutent 37.5 chem pills and our oncologist is saying this med is no longer working. I've got an appointment in Santa Monica - Premiere Oncology to try the AQ 179. We have a meet & greet appointment next week. In the interim, I've been browsing the internet on different type of theraphies for my son's Sarcoma. He has Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (ASPS) I found something that I want to try and while browsing ASPS it said that it may help patients w/ his type of sarcoma. The new med that i saw is called INTERFERON alpha not sure if anyone has been on it but would like your feedback on this medication. I am willing to try anything at this point! I'm getting desperate!!! The clinical trials that we've been on hasn't been very helpful acutally made his disease worst! My son is 19 and was diagnose in 1/2007. At the moment, he feet is swollen, his groins, and our oncologist just seems to be frustrated that he can't fix this rare disease!!! I'm frustrated too!
So, anyone out there that can give me any advise on this medication will be helpful.
