My mom had GBM IV dx 03/04. reoccur 07/05. 2nd crainiotomy then gamma knife. Once the tumors started to grow they switch to a new treatment. First she had huge growth on Gleevec/Hydroxyurea, then switched to CPT-11 and Avastin. She had 1 month stable then started agressively growing again.
Her dr (UCLA) now perscribed rapamyacin and avastin. (no chemo). Out of all the things she has tried... temodar is the only one that held things at bay. We still have a 1 month supply. I realize a miracle is pretty much out of the question, so what have we got to lose? It is mild and oral.
