My husband was just diagnosed with lung cancer last week.  According to th pet scan it has not spread, but this morning he found a lump in his jaw at the base of his gumline.  I don't want to seem like I think everything he has is another cancer, but could this possible be?  Or could it be a side effect from the albuterol or advair inhalers?  I just don't know if I should call his doctor or wait.

Call the doctor.  You don't wait for something like that.  It could be anything, including an abcessed tooth which can be dangerous if not properly treated quickly.

Good luck and God Bless

It is good to chk with the doctor , but, shud not get panic with it .

If it is soft lump, it may due to some infection and it shud goes off or get smaller.

Just take note that cancer patient will get very sensitive to any body changes or reaction . Therefore, it is important to read more and know more about the side effect from each drug or medication that we take during the treatment . Some side effect may goes off after couple of days, some may be longer or thro' out the treatment .

Anyway, this message board is good source of informations for you and it give us a great help .
