myelofibrosis and severe diarrhea with cramping

Hi there,

I am trying to find out why my dad is having severe diarrhea and horrible pain, around 12 times everyday.  This has been going on for about 9 months---everyday. The pain makes him cry and he can not leave the house.  When he eats anything, it causes the abdominal pain and then the diarrhea.  He is on Revlimid and I believe thalidimide.  Does anyone know what could cause this?  Thank you so much--deannamarie 

Two things. What does his doctor say? Nine months is a long time. Also I dont think he would be on Thal and Revlimid at the same time.

I agree with Mike, nine months is a long time. Get in touch with your doctor.

Also I don't think he would be on Thal and Revlimid at the same time.

I'm presently on THAL, VEL, and CYTOXIN. Even though I'm taking generation I and II chemo at the same time. These docs are trying any combination in search of that elusive cure.

I didnt notice that it was myelofibrosis. Alot of the same drugs but a different problem than myeloma.
