Hello, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer back in April and since then she's had the debulking surgery and started chemo (which we finished the sixth round of carbo and taxol three weeks ago and are now on the avastin/placebo trial).   She has been a diabetic for years and has done well with her sugar, but since all this has come around, her sugar is always up like around 250 and above.  I didn't know if any of you are diabetics and the chemo affects your sugar any?

Hi Jessica,

I had the same thing with my chemo.  I insisted that except for right after chemo, my glucose was OK.  Come to find out, some of the meds given to me prior to chemo were the cause.  She cut down on the meds and the glucose got much better....it's worth checking on.

Good luck,

Gayle
