Compilcations due to bilary drain

My husband was diagnosed with Duodenal Adenocarcinoma in Sept. 08. An attempt was made at a Whipple, but a gastro-jujenostomy, and cholesyscetomy (gallbladder removal) were done instead (out of town). Chemo was finally going well except for jaundice. They found his bile duct was blocked and decided to place a drain. The drain was replaced twice while in the hospital, and then he was transfered to a "skilled nursing" center for rehab. Every drain leaked between the skin and tube. While at the nursing center the drain moved until the suture finally gave way. The drainage was intense around the tube. He once again had the drain replaced, and everything went well, this was Tuesday. Back to the nursing facility. Wednesday he was fine and Thursday when I spoke to him he was fine. Friday, I visited after work and he was very tired. That night, he called me at 12:30am, in excruciating pain. He called the nurse to have tham call his doctor. Answer, up the pain medication. Today, I got someone to cover me at work and went to see him, I was stunned!!! When the doctor finally called me back, I asked if he could go back to the hospital, he set the order. My night from the depths of hell began. He has a raging infection in his abdomen, the dressing had puss on it. My husband is not dying from a rare cancer now, he is dying from an infection that should have been caught earlier. I should be crying, we have a 12 yr old son, and I have 2 older children, instead I am so VERY ANGRY! What to do next?
