Any Stage IV survivors

I am a 38 year old mother of two ages 9 and 6 who was diagnosed with Stage IV endometrial cancer in July of this year.  The drs. found a mass (2 cm large) on my right rib, spotting in my right lung, spotting in my abdomen and in my lymph nodes.  They started me on Carboplatin and Taxol and last week I had my CT scan.  It showed that the endometrial tumor has shrunk, lung has cleared however the lymph nodes have either stayed the same or have gotten larger, some new spots in the lymph nodes were found as well as some new spots in my abdomen.  They decided to add a third chemo med called Amend.  Anyone out there that has done this?  I want to do everything possible to beat this thing - any suggestions from anyone ro words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I thought I replied yesterday but perhaps I didn't do it correctly.

Don't lose hope, trite as that sounds.

I was diagnosed almost 10 years ago, also with stage 4 and I am going strong and doing well.  The biggest interference with a normal life are medical appointments and less energy.

The treatments you are on are tough but most of us seem to have started the battle with those.  I only recevied them when a recurrence happened almost 5 years ago.  Initial trmt was radiation followed by megase, the later a major waste in my case.

Hang in there and enjoy your life!!!!
