my husband is on Folfori now, prior was on FolFox from Jan - May.

He has a rash that started like acne a little on his forhead and chest and now it is all over the back of his head as well and on his back.  Anyone have that?  It is itchy... been there since June but now much much worse. They gave him an antibiotic but nothing seems to be improving.  It is red, and has some raised white heads like acne and very itchy.

Is your husband on Erbitux (aka Cetuximab) as well as Folfiri?  This sounds like the classic Erbitux rash side effect.  If he is on Erbitux, I found that using Aquaphor (an over the counter product made by Eucerin) helped more than anything else.

Thank you for the speedy reply.  He is only on Folfori.

He was on FolFox last round but the neuropothy was so bad that they had to remove the oxiplatin  (surely spelled that wrong).  The rash started in June when he wasnt even having treatment but most likely a lingering affect from the first round.  It is red, raised and some have white heads but he is very uncomfortable with it.

I am sorry you had to go through thhis.

I am glad this question came up and response were quick.  My mother started to notice a rash on her legs during her 2nd chemo folfox6.  She uses Vaseline instensive care lotion every day.  She says it helps with the burning sensation that goes along with the rash.  I was going to start worrying if it didn't get better, even though in the back of my head I knew it was one of those side effects.

Thank you for bringing up the question and my healing thoughts are with everyone.
