Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma - Chemo Protocols?

MFH History:

MFH left thigh Mar'06 - commercial surgery. Per VA: MFH left thigh June'08 - rad. quad. resection, MFH Rt Lung July'08 - VAT 'wedge' resection, MFH Rt. Abdo-wall - resect with ribs. NO CHEMO TAKEN TO DATE, my choice.

Currently diagnosed by 6-month post-op CT, then CT-needle biopsy with metastatic MFH in right lung pleura, 3 locations. Largest[6.5-8cm] mass adjacent to heart, 1 possibly a node, and 1 random on rt. side. PET scheduled for 09/18/09 to scan for precise locations & additional starters to determine true surgical status.

Current prognosis by VA Oncologist before biopsy or surgical consult was "inoperable," game-over; no biopsy or consult ordered. However, I ordered them. VA Surgeon consult doesn't concur, per se', but wants PET & pre-op chemo to reduce masses. I am more inclined to post-op chemo due to growth rate but may not have surgeon's support for same if I insist on post-op chemo.

Addition history/info: am survivor/remission for colon ca '93, and pancreatic ca in '95. Whipple done by Dr. John Chabot[re: Swayze] at Columbia in NY. NO CHEMO, my choice.

SEEKING: general advice, and specific chemotherapy info, especially   available protocols. My anecdotal research seems to show little efficacy for MFH chemo, especially in stage-4. Seems my progression is no more aggressive than those who have done pre &/or post-op chemo.
