RE: bone scan

My husband has been getting new scans every 3 - 4 months to track the progress of the cancer - next scans are the 2nd week in October. Hope to have news that the cancer has stabilized or at least that progression has slowed.

RE: bone scan

There a lot of radiation in a bone scan its just to find out if he had prostate bone Matisses once it found it there no need for an other bone scan when I had mine it found it in my ribs and my lower back. it gone now mainly due to my naturopath suggesting I go on to a three month cause of Zeolite I was other stuff but a year later a scan found it gone I feel there should be only one bone scan as any more will just give you more radiation.

bone scan

Hello all! I have found this site to be so very helpful. I have a new question. My husband was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer and a 'hot spot' was found on his arm last year as the results of his bone scan. My question, shouldnt' they soon conduct a new bone scan to continue to monitor? How often are they completed?thanks for your help and as always, we appreciate any and all prayers.
