I have stage 4 ovarian cancer , after surgery i went on taxol and carboplatin, i did 18 rounds of that chemo and  went in to remission for a whole year.then the my disease was creeping back in. So  i stay on the same regiment as before, every 21 days for 8 hour and by the  second treatment  my throat closed up and my heart rate dropped,my body was not accepting carboplatin anymore, they came in and said you have a choice - no more chemo or try to give smaller dose and longer period of time. That is what i decided to suck it up and try to take this chemo that kills the cancer. I did it for 6 rounds of chemo.and finish it up in march, well july it came  back .so now im on dense dose chemo.which i take one day of a week for the next 3 months. Doc said that since my remission was so short the last time that my remission shorter and shorter until i cannot get out of chemo, has anyone else had this happen to to you?

Hope, I am so sorry for what you are going thru.  I am doing my third reoccurance in two and half years.  I feel this is cronic and I just got to do what I got to do........ Not looking forward to it, but better than giving up.

I try to stay positive but man let me tell you its not easy sometimes.  There are alot of ladies here in different stages and treatments.  I pray someone will read your message and help you out.  I am 43 and I will be damned if I am gonna be cheated out of my life.  Prayers to you, Pam

Don't give up. I have read messages on this site where woman have the cancer come back 3-4 times in 2-3 years then have it go into remission for several years.
