Just wanted to share ...

Well, I just celebrated the one year anniversary of my diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma!! I'm feeling better than I have felt in over two years, and plan on keeping that trend.

BUT...today we found out my husband has a cancerous mass in his lower R lung which may have spread to his liver. So, here we start all over again. We see a cancer specialist on Wed.

We can use all the support and prayers we can get right now. Thanks!

Mary Ann

Congratulations Mary Ann!!  So good to hear your news, and fortunate that it comes right now when your husband is going to need YOU more than he ever has in the past.  Just as he was there for you when you were going through the terrors of the past two years, so you will now be able to support him -- probably even better as you have been through much of what he will soon be facing and will have a greater understanding of what he is facing. Those of us who are fortunate to have our spouse (and we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary yesterday) are truly blessed.  Those who must face cancer alone are the people that I most feel for, because no matter how much your friends and relatives care about you, they usually don't live with you 24/7 to be there to help in the wee small hours of the night or whenever!  Your partner is - and does - and you will be able to be there for him, feeling well enough to cope for you both, how wonderful is that!  My thoughts and prayers are with you both as you gear up to face the challenge once again.  Just as you have come through, I pray that he too will regain his health.  Love and best wishes to you both!! Cath

Thanks, Cath! (and congratulations on your anniversary!). We celebrated our 34th this July.

 You're right about me now becoming the caretaker, which will be difficult for my husband to accept, but I told him that it's my turn to take care of him now. We will know more tomorrow, but I don't think it's going to be a pretty picture.

Your prayers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.

Good Morning Mary Ann;

Well, I just celebrated the one year anniversary of my diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma!!

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm sure there will be many more.

BUT...today we found out my husband has a cancerous mass in his lower R lung which may have spread to his liver. So, here we start all over again. We see a cancer specialist on Wed.

Not the best of news but I'm certain you'll remain positive and let us know what results they discover on Wed.

We can use all the support and prayers we can get right now.

I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care;

Kevin

Hi, again, everybody,

First of all, thanks for all the wonderful support!! Joe and I went to see the cancer dr. today, to go over his CAT scan results. Actually, I felt better after the appt. than I did going in. Joe has a tumor in the upper R lung, and a large "mass" in the lower R lung which has caused a partial collapse of that part of the lung. There are also some nodules on the outside of the lung but INSIDE the chest cavity. He did not see anything on the liver at this time!!

The dr. is having him get a CT scan of the brain and a PET scan of his body, followed by two biopsies, one of the tissue inside the lung, and one of the nodules outside the lung.  He will be meeting with us again on Oct. 7 to review all the tests, and discuss with us what to do next.

They are pretty sure it is cancer, but the biopsies will confirm or deny this. We are planning on attacking this disease with the same strength that we have been using on my Multiple Myeloma. We are thinking positive thoughts (although our emotions are all over the place again), and will do a combination of traditional medicine and Tong Ren therapy which I have been doing for the MM.

I will keep you all posted, and once again, thanks for the private and public support. It is greatly appreciated!!

Love,

Mary Ann
