I was on aromasin for nearly 3 years when the bc reappeared on an ovary. Have been off aromasin for several months and all the aching and crippled hands , feet, legs have healed. I have so much energy (had chemo and op to remove tumour) I can finally jump on the trampoline and run which I haven't done since 2006 when I was first diagnosed. I will be beginning tamoxafen next week though. Even the neuropathy has lessen so much I don't notice it at all. So yes, aromasin causes all those "little old lady" symptoms.
Last year when I was 60 I was in wonderful condition. In better shape than any of my friends or family, worked out 5 times a week and could keep up with my grandchildren better than their parents. I felt so lucky that I didn't have any aches or pains, no arthritis at all. Having tried all three meds I have found that the Aromasin has given me fewer side effects. Notice that I said fewer. I feel that I have aged 60 years in one. I have gained 25 pounds, don't feel like working out and have traveling aches from one joint to another. I am afraid that the aches will be permanent but you have given me hope that once I am off of Aromisin I will once again be pain free. I just hope I can last the next four years.
