My Husband's treatment

Hi! I have just joined this group as my hsuband was/is diagnosed with MM. He's had 4 rounds of chemo (dex/thalidomide/velcade) and after the 4 rounds, he was in complete remission. He has since undergone SCT, three months ago and so far results are good.

I would like anyone's feedback on whether curcumin can be given at this point and what are its effects?

Just wanted everyone to know that I am not from the US but from Malaysia and its sure great to have a support community like this one.

Thank You.

Grace

I too am in your husbands boat (Took Revlimid instead of Thal) and have been on Curcumin for over a year now.  Just recently went through the SCT and went back on the Curcumin right after getting back home.  I know my numbers have been good and after just going to another checkup yesterday (around day 45 after the SCT) my Onc seems surprised to hear I'm back to normal in my life (work, walking, etc).  I have to believe the Curcumin contributes to that as well.  I would make sure that you have talked with your Onc about it as well so they know exactly what your husband is taking.  Keep up the fight!

From Anna,

Hi Grace, Welcome to the group.  I'm glad your husband is doing so good.  Its cool to have someone from Malaysia on the board. The furtherest I've known of a poster was England a long time ago.

I hope your husband keeps doing well.  My Dad has MM.

Your friend,

Anna

Thanks Kevin. As  I am not quite computer savvy, how do I get into Margarets corner? Sorry for the trouble.

God bless, Grace
