Johns Hopkins reports that research suggests that adequate vitamin D reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer and may help suppress the growth and spread of prostate cancer cells in men who already have it.

You are right, its the D3 that is important. I take 1000 IU of D with D3, thanks for mentioning it.
