INTRO with INFORMATION ON CYBERKNIFE & MEDICINE HELP

Hi everyone!

I am a caregiver and new to this forum.  My Auntie has ovarian cancer and has been dealing with it for almost two years.  She was on Carbo/Taxol a year, chemo vacation for 3 months, tried Doxil 3 times, but did not work.  I thought that Doxil took 3-4 treatments before a positive response was shown.

Well, now she is suppose to take Femara for 3 months and on chemo vacation again.  In the meantime, new legions were found in the CT scan and no chemo.  Nothing else was suggested.  I was wondering of Avastin as a new try for chemo.

Also, I found a radiosurgery alternative called CyberKnife.  It is used for cancerous and non-cancerous tumors that are inoperable or hard to operate.

Has anyone heard of it or had treatments with it or know of anyone who has had treatments?

Any information, suggestions, ideas are greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Hugs,
