Phillies game for Brain Tumor Awareness

Sept. 30 the Phillies Game in Philadelphia will be for Brain Tumor Awareness.  Just FYI.

We're Phillies Phans -- while we won't be there in person, we'll certainly be there in spirit and will be watching.  I'm so happy that there's publicity around this disease.  I'm sure Tug McGraw's brain cancer a few years ago helped moved things along.

   I hope all the attention brings the needed money to further trials.  Al Musella, virtualtrials.com site creator and research advocate, has been reaching out the the Kennedy's for some publicity on brain cancer.  This would be hugh. Always buying time to the next right treatment, right? Here's hoping!

I watched the Phillies game last night and didn't see any press around the event which was a bit disappointing especially in light of the fact that the night before they had a lot of coverage on breast cancer.  It's possible that I missed it so I don't want to pass judgment.

I'm participating in the Race for Hope in Philly on 11/1 and am trying to raise funds myself -- so far only $1200 but that's better than nothing.  Maybe I'll include my link on this site.  Perhaps that'll spark more donations.

I'm hopeful that Al will be able to get things moving along -- even more so than he already has.

You're not kidding what a let down.  Really dissapointing.  Alot of chatter on the yahoo site too.  Patients writing letters etc.  Al indeed not happy and thought that even if they mentioned the greyribboncrusade effort that asks for donations of $5.00 by texting BRAIN to 40579, adds the $5 to the phone bills, would have been lots of $.  Even Rob's NO was disappointed.  Are you in Phila?
