Hi All!  I had posted about 2 months ago for help in obtaining my Temodar because my insurance wouldnt cover it for me.  Well, to shorten the story much,, I went through their Commitment to Care program and it is all based on one's income.  In my case I had to buy one months supply out of pocket myself.  To shorten the story further,, I got a credit card, put the one months supply on that ( 5 capsules cost $ 2258.00 here in FL, disgusting right?)  and then Schering up and approved me for the program which will pay for my monthly chemo for 2 years or end of treatment which ever comes first.  Im going to ask my oncologist to leave me on the med for the full two years I think cause so far every MRI Ive had shows absolutely No Change in the inoperable portion of my tumor.  That is unless she can tell me or prove me that it is dead, I want to stay on the chemo as long as I can,, wouldnt you??

Now I just have to try to pay off that credit card.. Yikes.

Hi Sue,

Wow!  At that price, the capsules should do housework, laundry and wash windows too!

Seriously, I'm glad that you have been able to get the balance of your Temodar free from the manufacturer.  Paying off that credit card will keep you busy and I hope you are also physically able to keep working until it is done.

Good luck and Godspeed.

I am glad you got approved. The pills for aure are not cheap. I have joked with my family if I drop one nobody MOVE! :) Depending on what dose the cost rises . I have been taking 420mg 5/23. I am closing out on 2yrs taking the meds. As long as your blood counts hold I would. God Bless
